The
AnaConn Experience
We aim to make working with us an
enjoyable experience, while delivering a professional, value added
service. Read on to find out what working with us is like, and what you
may expect at the various stages of a project.
Initial contact may be made in a variety
of ways. If you send us an e-mail we will do our best to contact you by
telephone within four working hours of receiving the message. If you call
us and we don't answer, please leave a message and we will return your
call as soon as we can.
Our first conversation will be
exploratory - do you think we can help with your specific issue and do we
think we can help you. We will treat any information you provide with the
utmost confidence, right from the start and throughout our relationship.
The next step is to fix a meeting, so
that we can explore your requirements more fully. It is also important to
ensure that we feel we can work together; we like to develop lasting
relationships with our clients and for that to happen we both need to feel
comfortable with each other. Our preference is to operate in an open and
informal style, but we are happy to adapt to your culture if you require a
more formal approach.
From this point what happens next is more
variable. Sometimes we are asked to put together a proposal after the
first meeting; more often a further meeting, or even two, is required
followed by a proposal. Sometimes we are asked to perform a feasibility
study before putting together a proposal.
We aim to make our proposal a summary of
the discussions that have taken place. As such it should contain no
surprises, but simply be a formal sign-off of what has been agreed you
want us to do and at what cost, which brings us to the question of what we
do or do not charge for during these stages.
Normally, we charge nothing until a the
proposal has been accepted, however, there are always exceptions to the
norm. For example, where a feasibility study is required it is not unusual
for a simple letter of engagement to be produced stating the agreed terms
for the feasibility phase e.g. what the study is about, the duration and
agreed fees. Whatever the situation we will always agree terms with you
prior to any work being performed.
Once we actually start work on the
project we like to communicate with everyone who is likely to be involved
as soon as possible to explain what the project is about and the potential
impacts on individuals and groups. If appropriate, we include Trade Unions
at this point too. This is the start of a two-way communications process
that we believe is essential throughout the project to achieve success.
We build in formal reviews at
predetermined points during the project. These provide you with the
comfort that you understand the progress being made and the opportunity
for early warnings if things are not going quite according to plan.
We hope this will help you decide that
you would enjoy working with us. We look forward to hearing from you to
see if we can help.
